These Kingston University graduates are the first to emerge from the newly integrated Fine Art course structure. Students are encouraged to move freely between disciplines painting, sculpture, intermedia and explore their own ideas through whichever medium is appropriate. Some of the artists are now on postgraduate courses at Slade and Royal College of Art. Others are making inroads into Londons creative industries via film and video. This exhibition is testimony to Kingston Universitys close relationship with the gallery network in London and the ability of the Fine Art course to embrace diversity. |

Karen Gale The mysterious zone that is both indoors and out offers two qualities demonstrating passage and linked to journey. Within these heightened sensory places, I hope to enter the viewers unconscious, repressed thoughts, desires, and emotions that may hold a significant drama or narrative. The context of the work resides in the viewers experience of the space. |

Paul Green The feature of a recent article in Sleazenation magazine, Paul creates miniature diorama, which depict chaotic scenarios between his favourite artists and their work over an imagined landscape. I like to create these hyper-real, non-utopian scenarios. There's mishaps occurring within them, like a Disney world, but darker. The end results are large scale photos, which lend a stronger sense of reality to the eventually destroyed miniatures. |

Robert Stone Slade freshman Roberts canvases evoke unnerving literary narratives, which conjure up uneasy forbidding landscapes. |
