All the works within the gallery space allow objects to escape their inanimacy, becoming instead monumentally intimate. At the same time, the treatment of the figure in the work (including that of the viewer) is such that we are transposed into signs which map, plot, and vector the juxtaposition of representation and fact.

Ken Oshio's photographs explore chronology while at the same time inviting the viewer to reconsider objectscapes (environments) manipulated by the presence and absence of the figure. We are invited to wonder at what was before and between the emptying out of the figure. It is through this emptying process that meaning is generated.

Florian Roithmayr's work juxtaposes representation and fact. His work frames us within the work, rendering us unable to question our sensation of meaning so long as our own existence entails omitting, editing, and contaminating the soon-to-be disregarded object which contains us while we view.

Maico Tsubota's work re-models space in order to manipulate the viewer into a relationship with an unidentifiable environment that is neither internal nor external in nature.
